Do you think there is time travel on the show?
Re: Time Travel Poll
I agree with Lat, its a one way ticket. I don't think you can go to the future and then come back to stop something happening. And the same with the past. Ben didn't travel back to his orignial time after he landed in the sahara he stayed there.

The orchid video made it pretty clear that it is time travel. I mean that chamber that ben had to bust through was something serious. How long does this have to go on before everyone just accepts full time travel via the orchid. I personally love the idea. Especially since my major Lost theories have been time travel related.
I mean the smoke monster was on the very first episode. That should have been a big clue. If you want a show that is very real then watch CNN.

Re: Time Travel Poll
I have never been against time-travel in Lost - afterall it is done in a very unique and subtle way - its not like "Capt'n, there is a space time anomoly up ahead" and then bam, everyones wearing mini-skirts and beehives
Time travel can be boring and predicitable, but I fond nothing about Lost either of those things, so I am happy to accept anything they choose to write in
It is without a doubt, time travel. But not as we know it.

Hahaha. I've always said that if someone had written a synopsis of the constant before it aired and posted it on a theories web site everyone would have torn it apart and given the author hell. The writers make it palatable and enjoyable. I hate sci fi everything, but my favorite Lost episode was "The Constant."

Re: Time Travel Poll
I thought at first there was only mind travel re: Desmond in "The Constant."
But after seeing Ben end up in Tunesia and apparently on October 24, 2005.
That was confirmed from the Hotel desk clerk. I have to believe that it is time travel, or else the writers have got some serious explaining to do!

LOCKE: Hey. Uh... was he talking about what I think he was talking about?
BEN: If you mean time-travelling bunnies, then yes.
That kinda does it for me, it does though mean we can not trust a word the producers say so many things have been debunked could actually be re-examined.

Re: Time Travel Poll
I have heard that comment about Carlton and Damon saying no time travel so many times and yet I have never seen anyone give a reference to where they said it.
I have listened to most of the podcasts, and it is in fact the opposite they allude to time travel quite a bit. Let us go back in time to their first official podcast, November 8th 2005!
Carlton Cuse: You're not going to tell them about the time travel, are you?
Damon Lindelof: No, no, I'm not going to. In fact, I'm going to go back in time and prevent you from having said that. [Laughs]
Carlton Cuse: Oh my God.

Re: Time Travel Poll
I think I know the quote that made everyone spread the rumor that there is no time travel. It is from a podcast.
Damon Lindelof: “Just a quick sort of side note in terms of the way that we deal with time travel on the show - we are very paradox averse; that is to say, when our characters are time traveling, nothing that they do can change the present or the future that you have seen. Which is different than you know, the conventional Back to the Future time travel story telling.”
You can verify the quote here: http://lostpedia.com/wiki/Official_Lost_Podcast/February_28%2C_2008
To me, if anything this confirmed time travel. I mean he even says "in terms of the way that we deal with time travel on the show." This to me meant that there MUST be time travel on the show. This is back in late February. Since then it has been very aparent to me that the Orchid was used for time travel.
