Challenge to the King...Debate topics

Allrighty, I have three topics that Old King Lojozz can choose from. One new one and the two old ones that were not picked. I challenge you your Majesty.

1) Do you think that the smoke monster is natural or man made. I would argue that it was natural.

2) Is the pre-crash interconnectedness of the Lost characters random chance? I would argue that it is not random chance.

3) Basket-case Jack from the flash forwards- Was this always his true destiny or was it caused by his experiences on the island. I would argue that this was caused by events on the island.


4) Do you think Radiohead is the best band ever. (TheHolyStickman made me put this)

1) I agree, the smoke monster is naturally made, perhaps even biblical. This thing is an ancient spirit who is protector of the island.

2) I think that fate is something that brought all of these folks together, so no, not random chance.

3) Jack still has not reached his full destiny, and it is not to become a drug addict and alcoholic. He was meant to save people, but also to learn and accept when he cannot. Jack needs serenity, and must bring Aaron back to the island, that is his destiny now.

4) Radiohead is a very good band, but I would not say the best. My band, Return to Nothing, is the best. No, I like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Primus, Led Zeppelin, etc.

I know that you need a few days, but why I am here and thinking of it, I think it would be fun to debate whether or not Ben is "one of the good guys".

Hope agreed. I would love to get stuck into that one. Which side would you argue? Thats not a challenge by the way. Im just interested.

Ben is def. the good guy!!! He just does things his way and he has women problems. He becomes fully committed to whatever he is doing.

My gut tells me that, but I think the argument against is a way easier one to debate.

Im still not certain there was a plan to bring the losties to the island, certainly not one that will be tangibly explained.
