Start thinking

Post by Hope on Wed Jul 02, 2008 6:20 am

Everyone put on their thinking caps. Its time for some new challenges!! I was wondering if I thought of something that I thought would be a good debate topic, but left the side choosing up to my opponet would that be acceptable.

I don't have anything as of yet, just wondering if I could put some ideas out there and then debate the side that isn't choosen if my topic is choosen. Eesh, even I am confused!!

Hope Its not quite within the rules as they stand, but I see no problem in you suggesting debate topics if there are not many coming forward. I think what might be an idea is having a list of possible debate topics compiled so a challenger can just pick 3 from the list.

I think some entertaining debates would be some "less-serious" ones that don't have just a simple "yes-no" answer. Some options would be "What was the best episode ever in Lost", or "Best Season", or "Most surprising moment", or "Most heartbreaking death".

Just throwing some options out there.

Nino,

Usually we throw out three debate topics and choose a side for each. This gives the champ some flexibility in choosing what he/she wants to debate.

That would be fun, as we dont have any new lost episodes to debate, I'm sure everyone would like a nice light one. Or maybe worst episode, or worst flashback episode. I'm sure AC knows what I'm alluding to here. Very Happy

possible lighthearted debates

Is Hurley reall crazy?
Rose knows more about the island than she lets on?
Michael finished his work and so he could die?

I think yes - Hurley crazy! yes - Rose knows more and No the island let Michael die as he was useless in doing his work.

I would like to see a more open debate.
Possibilities:

1. Did the island disapear or time travel?
2. Who does Kate truly love...Jack or Sawyer?
3. Did Ben love Alex...yes or no?
4. Does Aaron belong with Kate...yes or no?
5. Who is a better game player? Widmore or Ben?
