HI HSM, well good news it has not happened again since BUT today someone spilt beer on the carpet about a metre from where the wine was spilt. Thank goodness that was not me this time!

One question I have been meaning to ask you, and I keep putting it off as everytime I type it, it looks silly. But today I will go for it ..... are you a fan or like High School Musical. I am a big fan myself! I know the movie is a bit cheesy but it is lots of fun.

Why ask, well everytime I type HSM, I think of that show.

Well Stitch... no. As a teenager in a high school half full of boys I can't really like High School Musical unless I wanted to be bullied.

But I don't have it in for musicals. I really like Pink Floyds - The Wall which was pretty much all music. But stuff like HSM just doesnt really appeal to me.

If it helps you could put THS instead.

HSM

Now that I have asked the question I am sure that I can now type HSM without thinking about that movie and the need to ask you about it!

Although HSM3 is coming out soon!!!!

It is almost 2 AM here so I had better go get some sleep.

Two solutions that almost always work:

1. stop drinking red wine (didn't work so well for me)

2. get hardwood floors (worked great for me)

That will be 2 dollars please.

MSHL

Thanks for your advice ... allthough it is not drinking red wine that is the problem, it is the spilling it over the floor!

I live in on the 28th floor in an apartment complex and I rent so replacing the carpet sounds great it is just not feasible.

Maybe I need to invest in some rugs.

If this is to conceal evidence of your getting into the wine cabinet from your parents, spill a bottle of red ink over top of it. They'll never know.

Hello fellow winos. Here's a useful tip: If you generously pour salt all over the spill (don't blot or try to clean it up) and let it sit overnight, then vaccum up the salt in the morning, it should be gone. Someone told me this and I didn't believe it, but it worked. Somehow the salt soaks it all up along with the color. Other than that, when I spill on the sofa (ours is off white!) or something non-horizontal, there's a spray called "wine away," and if you spray it on in a reasonable time after you've stained it, it will come out. If the stain turns bluish after you spray on the wine away because it's been sitting for days, put a laundry stain treater on it, let it sit another day or so, then wash it. I've cleaned several dresses this way.
