Not really a BIG theory, more like several medium theories on the course of the next Lost season that may add up to a big one.

Okay, so I was wrong way back when with my thoughtful and utterly incorrect theory on why it HAD to be Ben in the coffin. Fine, so it was Locke...I'm not bitter (grumble, grumble)

Item #1: HOW Locke got in the coffin.

My first (and admittedly most obvious) theory is that Widmore's henchmen caught up with him and murdered him.

I know the most obvious ...

The world will end September 21, 2012!!!

There are prophecies from all over the world and all through time that predict the end is near. From the priestesses of Apollo to the ancient book of I Ching to the collective conciseness of the internet via the Webbot. But it is the precise date and craftsmanship of the Mayans that make their prediction so scary. The Mayans set a date for the end of the world and it is during the winter solstice, September 21, 2012 when great changes on our planet ...

What makes Lost great viewing the first time you see the show is the way that it misdirects the audience to believing something that they are hearing and seeing and then it pulls the rug away from under your feet by showing you that what you thought was wrong.

One of the best sequences was the keeping of Henry Gale as prisoner in the hatch. Never has been there been a more convincing portrayal of a man from Minnesota than that one. He seemed genuine, he drew a map to where his balloon was ...

Oh those whispers. Those mysterious voices in the air, usually heard in the jungle and sometimes audible prior to the appearance of an Other, or Others. The Whispers first appear in the episode Solitary. Sayid is alone in the jungle, having encountered Rousseau, and these strange voices surround him. So it is here I can present the first startling piece of information about The Whispers from the man (David Fury) who wrote the Solitary episode.

I’ve been thinking about how the island could be moved and what problems would occur in the real world if that happened. An island is basically the very top of a (usually) volcanic mountain which just happens to stick out of the water. That means the bulk of the island is below the surface as shown below:

When the island disappeared it would have created a vacuum in the space that it previously occupied. As a result, the water and air surrounding the island would have not only ...

Here's an interesting fact about the Kerr solution:

1) As AC was first to point out in the other post, Claire appeared in Kate's dream, not like Yemi or Christian or Charlie, or any other dead characters who have appeared to the Losties while they are awake.

2) Just because she was with Christian doesn't mean ...

Before I begin dissection of the 'God loves you as He loved Jacob' slogan I'd like to take a second considering its origination. Curiously, the video in Room 23 (that features the slogan) appears to be a Dharma Initiative product. It's got that crazy 70s vibe! Even if The Others did somehow edit the video themselves then we have other empirical evidence linking Dharma to Jacob. The Orchid Orientation film also features a brief 'subliminal' flash of the 'God loves you as He loved Jacob' slogan. ...

I was thinking about Horace, and particularly the scene where Ben closed his eyes after the purge.

And then I thunk back to when Horace found baby Ben and his dad and mom on the side of the road.

Now that got me thinking about Alpert and how he leaves the island to see John born.

Horace Goodspeed was a mathematician in the DHARMA Initiative. Little is known about him so far except that he was present in Oregon on the day that Benjamin Linus was born, helped Ben's father to get a job on the ...

Analysis Of Mind Time Travel

With this piece I intend to clarify Desmond's mind time travel; addressing the subject of consciousness, the function of The Constant and what happens if no Constant is in place. My intention is to keep this as brief as I can, as clear as I can, and as easy-to-read as I can.

First let's consider consciousness. Apparently, when a mind travels to a different time (think of Desmond turning the Fail Safe in the Swan Station and 'waking up' covered in paint in Penny's flat) one consciousness ...

I am now exercising my right to be wishy-washy by saying that Claire is not dead.

Here's why.

1. Kate has a dream in which Claire warns her to not bring Aaron back to the island.

2. Charlie is told by Desmond that if he doesn't die, Claire does not get on the helicopter with Aaron to leave the island.

3. If Claire and Aaron do NOT get on the helicopter to be rescued that means that Charlie's death was for nothing which will REALLY piss of a lot of Lost fans.

4. So the ...

After rewatching the pilot last night (For the millionth time... i couldn't sleep), I think my view has been further reinforced.

Evidence of Ben's apathy toward his daughter's death is provided by his exchange with the future Bentham re his motivations for killing Keamey.

The idea that Ben, in the flashforwards, is motivated by revenge, is a favorite of many theorists, particularly those who want to argue that Widmore's agent violated some taboo when he "changed the rules."

Take a look at the still pic of Jacob in The Man Behind the Curtain people (i am unaware how to insert it into this post but for those of you who don't have it to hand just look at Angelo Comets analysis on Episode 4.12) ..... now do the following....

curl your little finger so it surrounds the outside of Jacob's face, in essence eliminating his hair.....

now look the silhouetted face underneath your finger......

now tell me that that isn't John Locke!

Smokey - the Karma Policeman

Ok heres my first proper theory on this site. So here goes.

We dont know much about the monster except that it kills people and that it can be at least set loose somewhere by Ben. The first victim of the Smoke monster was Seth Norris the pilot, as of yet we dont know why he gets killed. Maybe It was mad that a giant plane had just crashed on its island. I don't think its important. The next time we see the monster he stares down Locke in the jungle. Afterwards in episode five - The White ...

Well, it wouldn't be the first time if he is. When he told Locke that whoever moves the island can't come back, I don't think it was true. I think he knew it was his only chance to get off the island, and he wanted to get off to seek revenge on Widmore.

Weird thing I just noticed?

So, I dunno if I just didn't know about this, and everyone else does, but I was googling feng shui and look at what I found:

At first, I thought I just found a random picture where someone was making a weird Dharma logo for fun, but if you google feng shui yourself, and do an image search, you will see that there are many different pictures like this! Why are the lines exactly the same???

What do those lines mean? Why are they on all the Dharma logos?

Keep the Sand and Compass but the Knives out.

Before I start with the real theory I need to give some background information. This theory revolves around an idea from Philips Pullmans Northern Lights (a great book). In this book Lyra the protagonist of the story, recieves an object early on. This oject called an Alethiometer is a truth teller. There are 32 (I think) pictures round the edges of this compass looking object. There are four needles on it, three of these you can move with your fingers, with these you ask a question. For example; ...
