Fried Green Tomatoes
O brother Where Art Thou
Patton
A Beautiful Mind

Hoosiers

I love "slapstick" comedy, so here is my short list of them: Dumb and Dumber, Naked Gun 1, 2.5, and 33 1/3, Not Another Teen Movie, Major League, Hot Shots 1 and Part Duex, and Kingpin.

Action Hero Movies are also great, like: All three Spidermans, Transformers, and Ironman.

I am also a helpless romantic. I do like Titanic and The Notebook.

She is quite the cinemaphile. Between the 2 of us we likely have 2500 DVDs.

OK, so I was being a little flippant with my list. . . but I do genuinely love Tremors and Return Of The Living Dead.

(The Money Pit I can live without. And Don Cheadle has been in some total clag.)

I'm at work at present, so can't see the picture. Will come back later and have a look.

From memory, Michael Gross is the military nut, right? He also starred in Tremors 2: Aftershocks. If you ever see him again (unlikely, I appreciate) you can tell him that small exchange of dialogue he shares with Kevin Bacon about "cannon fuse" has been much-quoted by me to anyone who'll listen for years.

Kevin Bacon: "What kind of fuse is that?"

Michael Gross: "Cannon fuse."

Kevin Bacon: (Bemused) "What do you use it for?"

Michael Gross: (Deadpan) ". . . For my cannon."

Genius.

I just watched Southland tales. I totally didn't know what the hell was going on but I would still recommend it. Thought there were some interesting lost links regarding time bending and two people from different times coming into contact. The Rock was awesome as was Justin Timberlake ...whoda thunk?

Even more surprising, who would have thought that The Rock and JT would be in a movie together? If you told me 5 years ago that a wrestler and a "boy bander" would become established actors I would have called you crazy.
