What a weird thing to think about, but I never thought about it! I love this post! You guys have some pretty awesome picks. Mine, mine is Donovan-"Catch The Wind"
The first line is the best line:
"In the chilly hours and minutes of uncertainty, I want to be in the warm heart of your lovin' mind."

(I tried to embed it, but when I did that it messed up the whole forum page for some reason....)

Re: Your funeral song?
I know what song I want played at my funeral it is check your tears at the door by drivinin cryin. Both my twin and me want this played. It is about not crying for me because I am with my friends. I am not afraid of death and in my past prayed and tried to hasten it upon my self ( no fears I am past that now) but I do know I do not want any one to cry over me I will be where I have longed to be for many years now. Once again do not worry I am now with my soul mate and all is fantastic!! I have moved past that part of my past bust still I do not want any tears. I think life is continuous even after death .... parallel realities ....

Another One Bites the Dust..just went back and saw someone else posted that as well...
I have already told my husband I don't care what happens after I die. He should do whatever pleases him, our friends, and our families.
Actually, since I'm a HUGE David Bowie fan, and I LOVE this song "515 The Angels Have Gone"
5:15, I'm changing trains
This little town, let me down
This foreign rain, brings me down
5:15 train overdue
Angels have gone, no ticket
I'm jumping tracks, I'm changing towns
We never talk anymore, forever I will adore you
5:15, all of my life
Angels have gone, I'm changing trains
Angels like them, thin on the ground
All of my life
All legs and wings, strange sandy eyes
5:15, train overdue, angels have gone
We never talk anymore, forever I will adore you
Cold station, all of my life, forever, I'm out here forever

I have to thank WTF for this post... because of it, I used my funeral song "Catch the Wind" in my latest episode "Ghost in the Machine" and I think it really intensified the mood of what was going on... thanks WTF!

Re: Your funeral song?
I went to visit my family for this past Christmas, and just a couple days after I'd gone back home, my dad started feeling a bit under the weather. He'd always kept himself in good shape: eating fairly well, going for regular jogs, never a smoker, not much of a drinker. It took a month of test after test, scan after scan, till he was diagnosed with cancer. In no time at all, he went from healthier than a lot of 56 year old guys to weak and powerless due to the heavy chemo treatments. I talked with him regularly on the phone during those months, but, as getting time off work for me is like pulling teeth, and as my family lives on the other side of the state, I hadn't gotten out to visit while he was in the hospital. His treatments were done, and he was looking forward to getting better and having an appetite again, when all of a sudden his body just started shutting down. I dropped everything and rushed out there just in time to spend his last hour on this earth with him. On April 25, just 4 months from the time we were all together - not a care in the world, he was gone.
The next morning, this song kept playing through my head. My dad always loved Jim Croce, and this particular song was written by Croce for his newborn son. It's not really my funeral song, but we played it at his...

He always loved Neil Young, too, and this one's been playing in my head a lot since then, too...

Well, I'm not sure if he knew I was there. I like to think he did.
