Arg Getting Better?! & TesT 3!!

I just checked out the Octagon ARG and logged in. In the center of the Dharma pieces it says "Video Announcement" which is something new. It is Hans Van Crappenburg (whatever it is) saying about how testing has been excellent. He then warns us of an individual that goes by the name "The Black Swan" who is doing some bad thing apparently. The video, typical of a Lost Arg, breaks up during the parts that mention "The Black Swan." Now, I'm not good at freezeframing each particular scene (once again I'm not tech savy), but I did manage to pause it at one part where it is obvious the letter "P" is there.

So, could the ARG be off to a better start?! Perhaps! Also, test 3 is up... I just took it and uh... it is rather difficult. I don't really want to explain what it is... how did you guys do on it? So far, the best I got was only 52. I don't know if it takes your first score of the test (if so, I'm screwed) but it will place you in a new group.

I went from Brontes to Enceladus. Enceladus is a moon of Saturn, but more importantly the Greeks believed him to be one of the "enormous children of Gaia." He was beaten down by Athena and put under the earth at Mt. Etna, a big volcano in Sicily... when it erupts it is "the breath of Enceladus." What I saw was the "Black Swan," the numbers 6 and 0, the letter B, the letter P (which flashes in two spots), and the letter M.

Going to take the test in a moment...

The first thing that came to mind was either heart rate or music tempo: 60 bpm (beats per minute). Any thoughts?

I got 100 woohoo! This was the one I found the easiest so far....but I wonder if that is because I use a laptop mouse pad instead of a mouse?

I keep hitting the sides - my highest score yet is 63.

The secret messages are 60, 40, B, P, M which if you google it is some sort of tempo that is "lento" if you type in "lento" the balls slow down. That is the cheat. No, I didn't do this on my own, it was on the DUFO site.... haha. I haven't tried it yet and my score is still only 52. By far, my worst test yet.

I guess I missed the 40. I knew it had to be cheat-related, though. I still refuse to cheat!

Tried without cheating --just because I didn't know how to-- and got a crappy score. Automatically assigned to Encelladus.

Cheated now, got 100... still in Enceladus. So either only the first try counts, or it doesn't matter whether you cheat or not. I still don't get this game. Surely it's supposed to be fun to guess how to cheat but... I'm a lazy guy, so DarkUFO beats me at that all the time.

Doc Oc: Dark had the cheat up and running only about 10 minutes after the game was out.... I mean, seriously.... what kind of genius are these people over there? They should be working for the CIA or something.

Yes, I'm beginning to wonder if it is the latter. I had most of the pieces of the puzzle as far as the cheat goes before I even started playing - even had it figured out to be a tempo, so I don't think those DarkUFO guys are anything all that special - just have a lot of time on their hands.

Or perhaps that just means I should be working for the CIA.

I must be a reject. My scores are poor. I don`t know how to cheat and I haven`t been assigned even after taking all three tests.
Guess I`ll have to get to the island the old fashion way and book a flight.

Vinnie, if you haven't been assigned to any group, even after completing all three tests then something is wrong. You should sign in again and start with test 1 and go from there.
