Not to defend Alan Dale too much here, but he has only appeared on a few shows, and probably has no idea what the heck is going on with Kate and Jack to give half a rats arse about it enough to care what he has to do to get his paycheck.
It kinda reminds me when i saw John Delancie at a ST:TNG convention. Seemed like a nice guy, but you could tell he didn't care about Trek outside his involvment in a few episodes.

Dale does sound like a prick though.

I think we've successfully redefined the word 'jerk' to - someone who has seen but does not enjoy lost. Or Someone who calls Sun, 'the lovley Korean gir'l or Eko 'the black man'.
