The Losties are on the move!!!!

Due to currently being with a free forum host that provides a pre-modded forum, we have very limited control over this boards features and design. So.....we are moving to a new forum that is all ours to do with what we like!!

The move is hopefully going to take place in the next 2 weeks.....date to be announced.....and in the meantime I am asking for feedback.

NEW FORUM LAYOUT AND SECTIONS!

As the forum has gotten busier, I decided to change the layout a little and add some extra sections.

You will find some posts have been moved into other new sections such as the caption comps, to keep the forum easy to use and manageable. There are also some extra off-topic sections to give us something else to talk about during the season break, and extend the usability of the site.

The extra sections are;

• Media (music/tv/films/games etc) - use this section to discuss anything media related
  
• Science/physics etc - use this section to debate and chat about the world of science and physics
  
• Philosophy and society - Philosophise and discuss social matters etc
  
• Family and relationships - anything relating to relations
  
• Caption Comps and pic wars - to stop them clogging up the other sections
  
• Announcements - any announcements, competitions etc will now be in here only to keep them all together.

COMPETITION AND HALL OF FAME!!!

UPDATE: Voting for the Hall of Fame May 2008 is now open!!!

We are currently asking for nominations for the first Losties! Hall of Fame vote! This is to acknowledge the hard-work that goes into some of the most amazing theories, and is held monthly. The winner will have their theory moved to the coveted Hall of Fame section, where it will remain for all to bask in its glory

Inappropriate Promoting of this Site

It is important to remind everyone that we would like everyone here to refrain from advertising this site inappropriately on other Lost Forums.

Appropriate methods for promoting the site that do not risk causing problems;


* Adding a link to your signature on other websites if the administrators allow it.

* Link exchange - adding to a links section on another website and linking back to it from here in exchange

* Social Networking - adding a link to your myspace/facebook etc profile

* Other links can be added to your MSN, email signature etc.


It is great to see that people are happy with this site, but posting a link on a post in other forums is seen as spamming (not good) and this tends to create more animosity than good will. So everyone our official policy is not to inappropriately promote this site on other forums.

If everyone could comply with this it would be appreciated. It also helps maintain good neighbourly relations with our fellow Lost fans on other sites.

decided to up the count to 4 to make room for a more international
feel, so we have 2 in the USA, 1 in the UK, and one in Australia.

Forum Update

Wow what a week we have had!!!!
Nearly 100 new signups, a thousand new posts, and tonnes of new and fascinating theories, laughs......and people coming together and getting to know one another. Its been amazing, and can only get better!!
Thank you to all the fab new members who have helped kick-start the forum in the way it was always meant to be - friendly, relaxed and fun with more than enough room for the serious theorists!
In that last week there has been a new section open up - The Debate Club - for all those who love nothing more than a serious, intelligent debate. We also have new Lost related smilies en route (thanks to SomeArtzOnYou), Live Chat sessions to coincide with airings of Lost (both in USA and UK), new rankings, and a quarterly newsletter!!!
I look forward to many more brilliant threads and brilliant members!

Its a sad day when a popular and well used website closes down, and can leave a virtual community feeling a little Lost.....s'cuse the pun.

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all the refugees to this forum, it is yours to make it the forum you want...make it the fantastic one-stop for everything you love about Lost.....debating, learning, laughing, and just hanging out with fellow Lost fans.

Any genre, any format, or how about some poetry or prose, artwork, anything you like!

To avoid unnecassary editing, I have made this section only accesible to members over the age of 16. Please pm me for access, or see the usergroups

UK VIEWERS - EPISODE 9 TONIGHT!!

For some bizzarre reason Sky are now airing Lost more than a week after the USA

So episode 9 of season 4, "The Shape of Things to Come" airs TONIGHT at 9pm on Sky One!
