In the finale, Kate received a phone call from someone talking backwards.
Here's what he/she actually said:

''The island needs you....You have to go back before it's too late.''

Also, it went against what Claire was saying to her moments later

"Don't EVER bring him back!" So two sides telling her two different things? Interesting...

Let's not forget this was part of a dream. . . Well, nightmare. Which is something of a common element for all the Oceanic 6 with their nightmares and visons of dead people.

Also, we don't know who Claire was referring to. Could've been Locke? Could've been anyone.....

I guess since it was a dream and not a vision, it could have been caused by Kates own apprehension of losing Aaron (though I doubt it)

Good point.

I think Claire was definitely referring to Aaron, and if we think of the two conversations coming from the same source it makes sense.

"you have to come back to the island, but dont bring Aaron with you"
