Suggestion for a sticky
The full finale episode has been leaked and I've already caved
Sunburned Penguin, you might want to post a sticky in the
Theories Sections to remind members not to use that info in there.
Maybe I'm the only weak willed person around here, but just to be safe.

Re: Suggestion for a sticky
WTF, I have a confession to make, last week I caved in and looked at the spoilers before episode 12, and to be honest reading the synopsis spoiled most of the surprises BUT to be honest watching the events unfold is way better than reading them.
So because of that the desire to find out what is going to happen in the two hour finale has been completely reduced. Also, from past experience, it is not what actually happens in the finale that is really most interesting, it is the things that do not happen, the questions raised that are left without an answer. So I and many others will be able to resist the temptation of looking at the written description of the events that will unfold in the last 2 hours and wait until the airing, when at my apartment, my group of Lost fans, will gather to watch it.
OK my group of Lost fans consists of me and my only true Lost fan friend, Nestor. Though my flatmates will be there Sunny, who will contribute some illuminating questions during any episode he sees, like when seeing Jack, he will show his brilliance by asking, "That one's the doctor, isn't it?", and I will go "Yes, nothing gets past you!".
But a good idea to let everyone know that if you feel like giving in to temptation and decide to read "what will happen in the finale", then it is a good idea to keep hat information under wraps until the episode airs. WTF, you have a responsibilty, like the writers, producers, actors and crew, to keep the tension amongst the viewers.
The responsibility of keeping a secret is hard, and sometimes it is better not to know! A good example of this is the movie Titanic, it was completely spoiled for me by a friend, who told me on the way into the cinema, that the iceberg did it.

Ha ha the iceberg did it!!
I'm not tempted to part with any of the spoiler info stitch, although my post might have looked like that, what I meant was that if anyone else is weak like me and reads the spoilers that they might want to share what they know. Some people don't even get how annoying it is to be spoiled.
Last year I read the season finale Flash forward twist in comments at DarkUfos and was really pissed...I probably still would have read the spoilers but I like to feel like its my choice at least.

Hey WTf, I did not think that you were likely to post spoilers abot the finale, of course if you did want to there is a section for spoilers!!! But that area scares me, I have not clicked on that room.
Another confession from me, I was hanging out for spoilers on Harry Potter Book 7. Andf so I went to the site (bad Stitch) and begun reading the photoed pages of the book.
I read over 100 pages and to be honest I was really hoping that on the Saturday that the real book was going to be different and that this was a hoax. Alas it wasn't and when I picked up my copy with literally thousands of others at Borders, I felt very guilty!
Although I felt so disappointed at the end that Dumbledore had really died and that Harry ended up with Ginny. NO! I really did not like the Weasley girl at all!
I was glad that Draco survived but sad that the true character of Snape was revealed after he died.
SORRY, this is the Lost website and I just got carried away. But I would love for JK Rowling to write a book about the seventh year at Hogwarts, I know that this story would contain Harry, Ron and Hermione for only the last few chapters but am dead curious to know what was happening there during the year, now that would be wicked!
So back to the point, I agree with you that we should tell everyone that spoilers must only be put into the spoilers section! And no giving hints in any other threads.
We will all know the contents of the finale all too soon and then begins that long hiatus that we all dread!
Stitch
PS If JK reads this thread please give us another Harry Potter Book!

Re: Suggestion for a sticky
I read a complete transcript of the season-3 finale of Battlestar Galactica last year and, while I enjoyed the show, it didn't nearly the impact it would have on me if i went in blind.
Spoilers bad...bad spoilers, bad!
So, WTF, where exactly is this full final episode that has been leaked..not that I'm gonna watch it...um...just curious, that's all.
You can email the answer. Or pm or write me, or IM me, or call 24/7, or send smoke signals, or text me, or a courrier, or send it to me psychically...not that I'm all that interested or anything...just curious (call me pleeeeeeeeeze)

Thats not a bad idea....but I will leave it up to the individual to be wary of posting spoilers for the finale unless its too obvious and in the wrong place
I made that mistake last season too...I do like spoilers, but it really ruined the tension of watching the finale for me...its all about the tension!
Thanks for the suggestion

I must learn self control
Hey stitch, the buildup for Deathly Hallows was intense.I was watching youtube on the day of the release and there was a group of young guys (filming themselves) going into the bookstores and yelling out the spoilers...children were crying, it was kinda funny.

Just testing something...click on spoiler
oooh it works! Ok, if you want to put something in a thread that may be a major spoiler, you can use this code (but with no spaces in the tags)
[ spoiler] spoiler text here [/ spoiler]
That could be very handy
- Spoiler:
- can you see this text?

Cool SunburnedPenguin...I don't even know if people would mention spoilers in the theory section but if they did want to, those spoiler tags would give every one the best of both worlds...
MSHL...were you serious about wanting me to send you spoilers...if yes,Are you sure?
KSJ, MSHL cracks me up too!

Sadly the episode will air too soon and then we will all know what happens in the finale. So the sense of not knowing is in many ways better than knowing. As once we know then we have 8 months of wanting to know more .....
