Do Miles and Sayid have something in common?
Was watching episode 3 of season 4 this afternoon, and something struck me about Sayid.
Before he approaches Naomi's body and removes her bracelet, he is kneeling on the floor in what appears to be meditation or prayer. But it reminds me very much of how Miles was sitting when communicating with dead Naomi, minus the lip movements. He then approaches Naomi and closes her eyes, removing her bracelet.
Now, we all know Sayid has some kind of second sight, he always knows when someone is lying and has very good intuition. What if it is more than that? Part of Miles' talent seems to be to also know when someone is lying, as we heard when he first met Micheal at the port.
I just wonder if Sayid has more hidden talents than we thought

I seem to recall a similar bracelet scene in The Economist, so I assumed his odd bracelet moment was one of familiarity, not second sight.

CF - The Bracelet Sayid saw off the Island belonged to. . . (nope, Monday morning, post-birthday, the memory isn't working for names). . . that woman that worked for The Economist.
Her.
She had on a bracelet like Naomi and, when Sayid killed her, he did notice that, too. But that moment took place after he had seen Naomi's bracelet. (And according to Darlton there was nothing significant about this other than it being a curious, one of those things sort of thing.

So based on that, I'd say that shot of Sayid and Naomi was to set up the bracelet in your head for when he sees it again in The Economist. If it looked more significant than that... I'd have to just acuse Naveen Andrews of a bit of over-acting.AngeloComet wrote:CF - The Bracelet Sayid saw off the Island belonged to. . . I wrote my previous comment today. Where I said it was Monday.
It's Tuesday.
That's how bad it is.
