Just a question Empty Just a question

Can anyone tell me why Hurley told Jack he was sorry for for going with John and that they never should have followed him? I understand that people died who would possibly still be alive if they hadn't but there is no guarantee they would still be alive, and why would it require an apology to Jack?

Sorry if this has already been talked about. I had a look and couldn't find anything about it on here.

Maybe just because he felt bad that he should of just gone with Jack to the beach instead. Since he now knows the whole outcome of things, it's easy to say what he should of done. At the time, Hurley was scared he would die from the freighter people, so he went with Locke.
