Matthew Abbadon ...
Am I alone in thinking that he is actually Walt?
Mind you I cannot proove that he is Walt but my gut tells me I'm onto something.
Thoughts?

Wow Molly, that thought has never actually crossed my mind, I'm going to have to chew on that one a bit.

Re: Matthew Abbadon ...
hmm thats interesting, not thought about that one before!
I suppose anything is possible, and Walt seemed to have a connection with the island in the same way Locke has...albeit under-developed. That with his unique abilities that he already had prior to the island, could well put him in a position to time jump back, but why work for Widmore if it is him?

Nice thought! Btw, this site needs some work, but for now, I can truly call this my refugee camp. Thanks, AngeloComet, for pointing this site out!

Re: Matthew Abbadon ...
Molly I don't really buy it, but Abbadon's line "the next time we meet you'll owe me one" could tie in with Locke taking Walt under his wing in S1

Actually... (don't know if this matters) hairgrow is genetically stipulated, and since Michael has much hair... Walt also should have much hair when he grows old... (again, doesn't know if this is relevant)

Re: Matthew Abbadon ...
Interesting, but I don't buy it either. I see Abbadon as the polar opposite of Mrs. Hawking, perhaps a timekeeper as well, but hoping for a different outcome.

I suppose its possible, but no real evidence for or against yet. Its an interesting spin on Abbadon though.

I thought hair pattern was determined by the Mother's genes?
Anyhow, he could have shaved his head!

Re: Matthew Abbadon ...
Molly - You are right about hairgrowth/baldness being passed down on the maternal side (which is why I feel sorry for my poor son...all the men in my family are challenged in the hair department as they age).
Never ever did I imagine that Abaddon could be Walt...doubt it, but it's fun to think about. He doesn't really resemble him that much, but that doesn't necessarily mean a whole lot. Gotta think about this one.

Re: Matthew Abbadon ...
After watching the episode a second time, there's something in the way Abbadon says "Mr. Locke". Also, the phrase about Locke "owing him one" rings oddly familiar. I like it.MollyCocktail wrote:Am I alone in thinking that he is actually Walt?

Oh, and hair? We see Walt's mother in season 1, but I don't recall if her father was bald... nor do I care.

There was a theory that had multiple reasons for this argument, but still that would mean you have to involve time travel so ... i dont know. I need more evidence

I read this somewhere a while back and have been pondering it, it`s def possible. Mosh hair growth is known to skip a generation one usally looks to his fathers father for genetic hair loss.

Re: Matthew Abbadon ...
Nice idea, but how about when Abaddon was giving orders to Naomi and he looked all hostile and told her that there were no survivors.
I interpreted that as a sign that he didn't care much about the lives of the survivors meaning that if they found any they should either kill them or stay away from them.
I wouldn't expect that from even a grown up Walt..
Still, he could have been referring to the time he spent on the island when he mentioned his walkabout and how it made him realize that he was special

Re: Matthew Abbadon ...
This is like taking the time loop theory and then complicating it by 100, and throwing logic out of the window. On that basis, you could be right. I can't even formulate on any other kind of basis how this could be!
