The nominees for the 60th Primetime Emmy Awards were recently announced and Lost has an impressive seven award nominations, including:
- Outstanding Drama Series
- Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series (Michael Emerson),
- Outstanding Cinematography For A One-Hour Series
- Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing For A Drama Series
- Outstanding Music Composition For A Series (Original Dramatic Score),
- Outstanding Sound Editing For A Series
- Outstanding Sound Mixing For A Comedy Or Drama Series (One-Hour)

Lost was nominated for the Outstanding Drama Series award in it's first season in 2005, where it won, this is the first time since Lost has been nominated for this award.

The 60th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2008 and will air on the ABC Network.

Give Ben his Emmy!

Emerson for an Emmy, naturally.

Drama Series and Cinematography should also be 'givens' - the latter especially (have you seen a better-looking show than Lost during some of its jungle and action sequences?).

And Michael Giacchino should win best Original Dramatic Score every year Lost is shown - it's on a par with movie soundtracks, let alone TV shows.

(And that's me being objective - my biased view is Lost wins all, in every category!)

Back on topic. I would love to see 'Lost' finally receive its just dues. The show and its actors have long been overlooked, IMO. Let's all send out those positive vibes on the "Emmy" nods.

Oh and you think my Pa is joking.....when I still lived in my hometown, whenever I was asked out on a date I would always say "wait...whos your Dad?" just to check they were not my brother

(And yes.....it was often misunderstood as "Whos ya Daddy" and I didnt get to go on many dates)

Lol Jax cruel but probably true ........I only had to look at a woman and they got pregnant......its ok though I never went with any Welsh women (Can't stand em) J/k ......Maybe I should have been sent to LOST island then ALL the women there would have been pregnant in no time...

OMG, Jax! LMAO! Well, I can see you come by your humour honestly! Chip off the old block! Oh, and don't think I'm buying that "you couldn't get any date stuff"! Your picture would indicate the contrary! It must have been a small town!

As for your pa, Thank God I am long past the "child bearing" phase of life! Although, I live across the pond, that man, has some powerful stuff going on, and still wouldn't take any chances!

lol yes I guess i could be Jacob ......Just off topic theres a new program being part filmed here in Thanet where 15 people of different countries speaking different languages are marooned and they find a music box that needs keys to be inserted in the correct order and each person has a different key on a chain arround their neck ...I think it's called "washed Up" anyway sounds a bit LOSTISH to me.........What do you all think and have you heard about it

On a similar vein and completly off-topic, we are being filmed where I work over the next 8 weeks for "Traffic-Cops" Wales. They film the cops who work downstairs from me in the control room, and follow them around, but they are also filming the control room. Havnt been caught on tape yet but bound to be at some point lol
