Why, and oh why?
Ok, it's obvious I'll have to register in order to be able to use this forum --it's nice you added a "guest room", though, but...
...why should I give personal data here? Yeah, you only ask for my birthday, but I don't understand why. And there's a nice Google Map up there, too, showing where I'm posting from.
What if I don't like that? It's not registering my only option? Are you gonna tell me, too, "go play somewhere else"?

I wonder how Richard Alpert would feel about registering too. His birthdate would be something that every Lost fan would love to know. I he really ageless or was he born in 1970?
Hey just register and put in a birthdate that you would really like to have. No biggy!
Anyway I suggest you register and join in the fun.

Yea noone is forcing you to tell your true birthdate
What are you scared of? That Starbuck is going to track down all of ya and force you to drink beer with him and talk about lost?

Its to combat spam-bots, they target forums by having a bot auto-register and auto-post....putting something in place that needs to be entered manually stops the forum being targetted by spam.
I know its not great, but its a necessity i'm afraid. Im gonna have a look at the settings now though see if I can stop age displaying under avatars as I cant see the reason for that

Well now I didn't even consider that.... Maybe I'll see if I can go back and edit my birthdate ! Nah, actually it is probably a little late for that now, but like I already told another lostie on here."Just think of me as the female version of Richard Alpert." And , I will likely have the distinction of being the oldest member on here .
