Will Walt kill his father
I have no reason to wonder this except that Like Ben and Locke Walt is special. Hurley`s speacial as well and hasn`t had to kill his father but has had a scatterd past with his dad cheech. Does destiny make you "replace" your father stepping out of his shadow, something Jack has been unable to do. Probally crazy talk I know considering Where Walt is and Micheals on the freighter but who knows right??? Then again I`m leaning toward Abbandon being future Walt. Sorry if I wasted anyones time but I`m addicted to this site.

Re: Will Walt kill his father
It is interesting that despite all Michael's efforts to raise Walt, events happen and Walt ends in someone else's care. First Susan, then the Others now Walt is being looked after by Michael's mother.
I do not think that Walt will really kill Michael. Though the idea you suggest has merit. If Locke has to kill his father to prove something, and we know that Ben killed his own father Roger. So maybe Walt might be expected to kill his father.
Remember Locke was supposed to kill Anthony Cooper but in the end he couldn't do the task. I think that Walt may face this same situation in the future and hopefully he will make a better decision than Ben (who did it), or Locke (who got Sawyer to do it). Maybe the real point of the task is to see if the Leader will show compassion and forgiveness and allow their father to live. I think that both Ben and Locke failed in the task because of their actions.
A really good line of thinking Vincent!!

Given Michael's current mental state he probably wouldn't mind.
His last words? "Waaaaalt!" Obviously.

I like the idea but I think Michael is going to die on the freighter when the time is right obviously.
Excellent point by stich about Walt always ending up with others.
