HALL OF FAME - NOMINATIONS OPEN!!!!!!!

Welcome to the first even Hall of Fame nominations

Ok, heres how this is going to work.

We are going with just one Best Theory category, to honour the amount of thought and hard work that goes into them, so please pm me with the theory you would like to nominate. Nominations are completely private and I will not be disclosing who nominated who. Just one nomination per person.

If you could include a link to the theory in your pm that would be great

At 12 Midnight (GMT) on Tuesday, I will tally up all the nominations, and the theories with the most nominations (up to a total of 5) will be added to a vote, to run for a further 48 hours, when the first Hall of Famer will be announced.

My bad for not making this clearer before....I was ill lol.....but this is for MAY only, anything posted on or after June 1st will need to be nominated next month for Junes award

Ok, first nomination, I guess we just vote one theory.

OK. I've had a look through and come up with my nomination for this month. It was very close - SBP almost got it with her Black Smoke Globe theory that, I thought, was very good and well-presented.

However, my nominee is Fivestades for her Connect 4 post. It's very well explained, with diagrams and screencaps - short and concise - and presents a nice angle on Lost that I've never heard before. (I know Five isn't taking credit for the idea, but she can get credit for explaining the idea and developing it!)

By the way, two things.

1. Votes like this - such as for Hall Of Fame - or for Debate Club when it has a vote up and running, should definitely feature at the top of the 'Portal' page for when people turn up to the site.

Unless people are diligently checking their 'posts since last visit' I think this kind of thing can get missed, and that's a shame because they're good facets that should be encouraged and engaged by as many as possible.

2. SBP Can I say here I don't like the 'BIG theory' classification? I mean, now we're all caught up with the USA I think some changes against where theories are posted can be changed. . .? What if I have a BIG theory about a recent USA episode? Where do I post it?

(If you want me to give a more detailed breakdown of suggestions for theory categorisation, let me know - but I don't want to overstep my boundaries. If you like it, keep it. It's your site.)

The BIG theory forum was set up for those BIG theories....you know like a 5 page essay on something that ties the whole show together - but as it isnt really being used as such it could do with changing. All suggestions are welcome, there are no boundaries as far as suggestions go....apart from me saying no

This post got so many rave reviews over at LT, not sure why it hasn't been as poplular here, but if you check it out, I think you'll find that it is a good read, though I would never nominate my own post, someone else would have to do that. (hint hint) The post was even requested by our good pal vincentthedog. Hope you all take the chance to read it.

I would here by like to nominate Lost_Dbutz on his fantastic post Be Here Now! There is so much in there that can and I belive will relate to the show.
