I like the donation thingy. A few bucks from each regular would prob pay for the site for the better part of the year and it is well worth it.

If you don't already have a paypal address then set one up SP. No need for you to carry all the costs yourself.

I appreciate all the suggestions for donations, it is something we could do....a paypal donate button with a counter of how much has been donated.....but I dunno....I have run a few forums over the years and have always been adamant that they should be 100% free to use.

But it warms my heart to know that people are willing to do that, very much so

While the voting is going on I am, in the meantime, investigating different hosting possibilities and tbh the cost for a package big enough to host this forum is minimal compared to say, hosting an interactive news website. Its a couple of quid a month at the most. We dont need that much space and if in the future we do, it can be upgraded.

Anyway, I've cast my "not fussed" vote (but mine is a relatively easy one, since I keep all my posts over at my blog also and so risk losing nothing).

Still, I'll agree with the concensus that you've done a grand job here, SBP, and I'll follow this site wherever it sets up home next. God knows you're not getting rid of me that easily; who else is going to make sure you guys don't get sloppy with your facts and logic!?
