The Island has moved before
I think the Island has moved before I have no idea how many times I would guess one. I think that is why the black rock is in the middle of the jungle. For a long time I thought a giant wave took it up, now I think that back in the day the island moved and that is how the black rock became land locked.

Wow! Really good post! That seems correct in my opinion
Also, maybe this is how polar bears ended up in Tunisia?

Re: The Island has moved before
Agreed the island was probably moved when the DHARMA left and maybe some other times. I also thought that the black rock was land locked when the island moved last. Good theory.

This makes sense
Perhaps it was at one time in a very cold climate and picked up the polar bears, moved to Tunisia (leaving a dead bear behind) and then eventually to the pacific! Picking up the Black Rock somewhere along the line!

This offers a nice, tight yet simple theory on how The Black Rock ended up in the middle of The Island.

Agreed! I use to think the blackrock got pulled into the island thro it`s magnetic properties thus creating the 325 cordinates. But this is simpler and probally correct.

Only in the world of Lost, could an explanation involving a massive landmass moving location, be "simpler" than something like a tsunami or magnetism
Still going with this though hehe

Re: The Island has moved before
I agree.
I think the Island was once, perhaps, in a very cold place and. . . ah. . . somehow the Black Rock ended up on a lot of ice. . . and um. . . then the Island went somewhere hot and all the ice melted and. . . yeah, that was how the Black Rock ended up in the middle of the jungle.
Well, that or teleportation. Obviously.

Interesting...

Re: The Island has moved before
I think the cold and polar bears are separate I really cant explain what I think it is because even to my friends it sounds crazy so idk. But let me say this I think that moving the island and the polar bears are different. I think the bears are for experiments and those experiments needed to have cold weather animals. I also think this experiment is why Ben has the cold weather jacket it not because he didn't know where he would land but because he knew it would be cold getting to that place. I think the island moving and human teleportation are why the bears were on the island.
