Re: Treesitter introduces herself
I agree Treesitter Neither German nor English is my native language, so I can say that German is harder due to all the articles. Almost all schools start teaching a foreign language where I live after 3rd or 4th grade, and if you choose to learn German or French, the prep class lasts for 2 years, whereas the prep class for English or Italian only lasts for 1 year.

Re: Treesitter introduces herself
I have no favourite. The screen name is simply inspired by BernardĀ“s type of arrival on the Island. I think he had the coolest one... with his chair stuck in a tree. (Despite his injuries I thought it was kind of funny.)

Re: Treesitter introduces herself
Agreed that German is the most difficult western language to learn, I have picked up Spanish to a minor extent and even some Italian just by being around a few peoplewho speak the languages, but German...
So may articles and exceptions that it boggles the mind...but my seven year old son speaks it (his German Oma watches him during the day and we tell her to only speak German to him)
Your English is better than most of the Americans I know...it is really amazing!

MSHL, I am really glad to hear this. A big smile just flashed over my face.
My anxiety of not being very gifted in languages made me abandon my studies. (When I attended university I started English / American studies. It only lasted one semester before I dropped out. I thought I couldnĀ“t handle it. Maybe I should have been more confident?!?)
