Strange dots on "Dharma wants you" site

Just been reading DarkUFO for any clues/hints about this ARG and it seems the website has some strange, and changing dots on it.

Here is the first image from 19th July


And from today, there are more dots...



Any ideas what these could mean?

The first thought that came to mind was a Constellation. Or the mango I had for lunch yesterday was from the Island.

Looking at it, I wonder if it is just a visual countdown. The source code lists the index as "transitional" which usually means there is a pre-programmed flash visual that changes on a daily basis. If you look at the dots, if the same pattern continues around then it would form 2 more octagons. I think lol.

But something tells me it means more than that.........

That's pretty cool from darkufo. I put the original two pictures in Photoshop and tried "connecting the dots". At least had a good laugh at myself.
