Claire and the cabin
My first thought about Claire's disapearance was of Locke being dragged down the hole by ol' smokie. Locke was more than happy to go down there and Claire seemed pretty content to up and leave her baby. Maybe she went "down the rabbit hole" and ended up in Jacobs cabin.
And do we know that the cabin John went inside was THE Jacobs cabin?
I was thinking about Horace building that cabin in Johns dream. What if Horace did build a cabin for real on the island somewhere, and that is why he had blueprints in his dead pocket. What if he was on a Field of Dreams quest, “If you build it, he will come” and he made a cabin “for” Jacob and that was the one John found with Christian inside “speaking for” Jacob. Not Jacobs cabin that moves through the ether but this copy cabin that this “Christian” used trick John.
I’m also leaning on the idea that the Christian Shepherd we saw in Cabin Fever is not the same Christian Shepherd we see appear to Jack those times, and to Vincent in the mobisode. A “Bad Twin” maybe?
Did the cabin Christian have those white sneakers? I can't remember.
Anywhos, I think Ben was in communication with Jacob, but now he isn’t because this Jacobs evil twin is in control now and he needs Locke the way Jacob needed Ben. Locke has just been suckered again.
Now, “moving the island”…. That one I’m still banging around.
(i had to write this at work, sorry if its incoherent and jumbled.)

Cabin Christian had white sneekers. and all this cabin building reminded me how Locke built his own "cabin", well, spirit hut, a while back and he couldn't speak for a while. Kind of how "Christian" is speaking for Jacob

Re: Claire and the cabin
Laterus I think Lost is complicated enough without having fake Jacobs cabins and Bad Twin Christians tricking people. I just think this add to much complexity to what are already huge mysteries.
I could be wrong though and its certainly original.

Re: Claire and the cabin
We've already seen there is a good vs. evil, white stone vs. black stone and i think that sybolizes more than Ben vs. Whidmore or John vs. Jack. I think there are two forces alive on this island in constant struggle with one another and Jacob is possibly the "good" one.
And in Johns Sweat lodge vision quest , he is told by Boone(the island) to save Eko. Which he does. Eko is then killed by the smoke monster. So John saved Eko from the bear so he could be killed by the island(smokie)? Why did the island tell John to save Eko in the first place?
that whole Horace cabin thing made sense when i wrote it.

Re: Claire and the cabin
Perhaps but I tend to think that if there are two powerful forces on the island in constant struggle then it would tear the place apart. I think there is a battle for control of the island but only one side has control at any time.
The vision told John to clean up his own mess, he took this to mean saving Eko but I think John has a habit of misinterpreting his dreams and visions.
With that in mind it could be that John misinterpreted this latest vision so I guess that could add weight to your theory.
Surely Ben would know if there was two sides already at war on the island and perhaps warn Locke that the 'dreams' could be being fed from either.

I agree that Jacob must have an obisite. I think everyone on the island does jack= sawyer. Kate= juliet and so on. But i don`t know who that is yet and I don`t think it`s an evil or even good twin but who knows you could be right.

If this theory is correct (and It could well be) I dont think it will introduced until later on in the show to svoid too much complication.

I agree Stickman, there's too many things to answer. Bringing in anymore complications would give us the crazies.

Re: Claire and the cabin
That's interesting speculation on the cabin. The one that Horace was building would have been new 12 years ago. Could it have deteriorated so quickly? Jacobs cabin seemd much older than that. The cabin Locke visited in the daytime had sunlight coming through the slats of the walls. The one that Hurley stumbled onto at night was illuminated on the inside but didn't have light coming through the walls. It should have if it was the same cabin. It could be a production error but it could also be two different cabins.
