The Numbers In Real Life ...

At work just the other day I saw something that demanded a photo be taken and immediately emailed to Ian (Caged_Faraday). We have an order board here at my company that shows the tally of orders shipped and received for the day. To my surprise, 108 was the day's tally.

To pass the time 'till 2009, I am going to start snapping pictures of things and places where the numbers appear. Lame hobby I know, but I need to get my fix somehow!

Actually, a week or two ago, I walked by a deli, and the "Take a Number" digital counter up on the wall read "23." I walked by again a little bit later, and it read "42." Seriously.

And I don't know how many Weird Al Yankovic fans we have here, but something just dawned on me with his parody of Michael Jackson's "Bad" (his version is "Fat")...

Two of the lines from his song:

Well, my address is 1412. These numbers added up equal 8, plus I live on the 2nd floor. 8*2 = 16. I know. That's freaky.

Well I live at 62 which added is 8 and 6-2 is 4. My birthday is 15th April (15/4 or 4/15). I was once 16 and 23 and I will eventually be 42!!!!

Dude, I've been 4, 8, 15, 16, and 23, and hopefully will be 42 eventually, as well. Some bizarre coincidences here, I must say.

well i live in mebourne and my apartment no is 2802, if you add up the numbers 2+8+0+2, it gives you 12 and the postcode for Melbourner is 3000 and if we add that to the 12+3+0+0+0 then we have 15. Wow spooky.

And if i add me who is one person (mostly) then 15+1 is 16. whoooo!

Sometimes when I am sleepy I find that I have had the television on channel 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 or 42, which is amazing as we do not have any free to air channels with those numbers, but hey when your tired there is something relaxing in looking at static on television.

Those numbers really are spooky.

I had a Chiropractor work at my office for about a year, he just left to open up less than a mile away and is trying to steal my paitents, his new address suite#108...

My odometer has about 5000 miles till I hit Hugo's reading. I'll be certain to take a photo the moment it hits (and have the trip odometer zeroed at the right time), probably won't be for another six months or so, though. Just a heads-up.
