There are so many lovely areas where we live. Some are are actually similar to some of the scenery in LOST. Here's a link to some of the photos (learning how to post photos!)

So beautiful Molly. Our family started out (many moons and generations ago) in Stonington, CT. There is a charm to New England and it will always be "Home" to me having been brought up in RI. Great pictures!

Your snowy scenes are enough to make me homesick (for a day or two anyway!). Tropical flowers and what seems like endless laser light sunshine can wear thin. I loved the rainy days when I was in England and Scotland but never saw snow there. Could have been because it was the month of June.
It is great to see where everyone is. Super idea to do this!

I notice Wikipedia automatically redirects Almond Brothers to Allman Brothers. Is that some sort of Georgia inside joke?Alaina wrote:Macon is famous for 2 things the Almond Brother Band

Re: Pics of your favourite local scenes
Since Molly covered our current hometown of Branford, I'll post of few pics of Milford, where I grew up.
Typical New England weather looks so much more peaceful on the beach.
I pretty much grew up on this beach...
...diving off this rock just about every day in the Summer.
This is Charles Island, the reputed home of Captain Kidd's treasure.
First Church, which sits along Downtown Milford's Duck Pond, is as old as the town itself, founded in 1638.
And finally, a scene from the 20's, when the town was the backdrop of "Peyton Place".

Seeing more pictures of CT is such a nostalgic trip down Memory Lane for me CF.
Our home in RI was next to Gilbert Stuart's birthplace.
From down here in FL Connecticut and Rhode Island seem so "exotic" now ........... and much missed! Thanks for posting those photos.

What a lovely place to have a "second home" in John. You have the best of both worlds.

Update!!!!
Thanks to the generosity of my employers I have a reprieve from moving back to Macon next month. Please keep your fingers crossed that my husband can find a job in the next few months or the move will be back on
So here are some pics of where I am at right now… Sylva, North Carolina.
The view from my back porch of the Tuckasegee River
Close up of the geese from the above picture. There is a flock of about 30 that live on our section of the river.
Main Street. I drive down this road every morning on the way to work.
I actually saw the fog like this the morning I was driving down to North Georgia for my wedding it was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen in my life I was driving in the fog up the mountain came to the top and it was bright and sunny then when I got over the top I dropped back down in to the fog.
The view from the drive to Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
And lastly
This is a Motel in Cherokee NC. I laugh every time we go buy.
(oooohh Color TV)

Alaina,
I've been to Cherokee a few times. There is a native american in full Chief head dress in town, with a Marlboro hanging out of his mouth. He yells to you as you pass buy to take a picture of him for a dollar.
He would scare the heck out of my kids.

No fishing just feeding the geese but there are Saturday mornings that you wake up to 20 to 30 people in your backyard
