Back from the Island (the Manhattan one)
After being away for a few days visiting the Big Apple, I am back. Got some nice pictures which I'll have to post at some point. One of the things I got to see while in the city was a filming of the Colbert Report (Tuesday night's show), and I actually got to shake the man's hand. Good to be back, though!

Me and Starbuck just went there in February. Great city but I do prefer it in the summer. Mostly because I can look at Starbuck and say "What an incredible smell you've discovered..."

You boys need to talk to Stich about NYC. He is coming to the US for vacation & he is not even going to make a quick trip through the crossroads of the world. I tried, but he was sold on Disneyworld!!

Stitch, If you are going to Disney (blech) world then at least take the short drive to Kennedy Space center and go see the Saturn-V rocket...not only is it indoors, fully restored and mind boggling in it's shear size and audacity but standing under it will make you feel like you have a really tiny...never mind, go see it. It's cool.
Other places cooler than Disney:
NYC
New Orleans
Miami
L.A.
San Francisco
Cleveland Ohio (I'm not kidding)
San Diego
Niagara Falls
My garage
a landfill
a half full-septic tank (or is that half-empty)
Me no likey Disney

Some shots from my visit:
Tom's Restaurant (the Seinfeld diner)
A very dark view of the house from The Royal Tennenbaums
One of the purty buildings on the CCNY campus
Reconstruction at Ground Zero
The workplace of a funny man
The big red 9 (9 W 57th St)

Those are terrific pictures SAOY. So nice you were able to see so many fun things! We lived near NY for a while, before moving to the Sunshine State. NYC has a j'nais quoi to it that is so vibrant. Nothing like a "Dirty Water Hotdog" from a pushcart, the scent of fresh roasted chestnuts on a cold day, or fabulous salted pretzels! NY definately has it's own flavor!
I loved seeing London, Edinburgh, San Francisco, the Grand Canyon, Bermuda (cruise ship and by air) and would like one day to visit Australia and New Zealand.
Disney is a fun place for children, and the child in us, and we liked it best when staying at Disney rather than "near Disney". Wonder if they'd ever make a "LOST Park"?
