RETRIEVING YOUR THEORIES FROM L-T.COM

Here's my PSA for today:

If you have theories on the old Lost-Theories.com site here is how you can retrieve them.

1. go to Google.com
2. in the search box, type in Lost-Theories.com followed by your user name or the theory title (Or anyone else's user name or theory title)
3 when the search results come up there will be a little cached link to the left below each search result.
4. Read the web address of each result to see if it has the Lost-Theories.com web address in it and, if it does, click on the cached link. The stored theory page will then come up. When it comes up you can copy and past the theory text into a word processing document and save that on your computer. You can even copy,paste and save the comments as well.
5. Remember you have to click on cached link because if you click on the search result title it will just take you to the dead L-T site.

I did a google search and typed in Lost-theories.com starbuck and here is one of my results:

That came up and I didn't even type in my full user name.

Cached (stored) pages are ones that are stored on the Google site, not on the L-T site so they are still accessible to us.

Some of the latest theories may not come up as the Google bots may not have had time to cache them before the site was shut down but this should bring up a great many of them.

Also, if you want to do this you had better hurry. If a cached page is not accessed for a while it will be "cleaned" out of the Google system and it will be gone for good.

It didn't work for me. My theories are really just ramblings from an average fan but I would have liked to post my theory that Jack and Sawyer are changing fates here,but all I can get is my profile and when I click on one of my theories it just says the page is not available....no biggy..sob..

There is also another thing you can do,when you do the google search, I also saw an option with the link More results from lost-theories.com .
If you click on that it will bring up only pages from L-T

If you link to your profile page and see the date of the one you want to save you can then search thru ,till you find a theory with that date.It may take a while,to find what you want,but if you want it saved,it will be worth the time spent.

I am in discussions with a few different parties to
sell this site to someone who can care for it the way it deserves.
Because it looks like LOST-Theories.com has a future with someone else, I have gone ahead and bought it back until that deal can happen.

After two "bad gateway" messages I managed to get on. The trolls were the first to return and post claiming victory and swearing that they would make it their board for good. It's their playground now.

Anyone who takes that place on has some serious house cleaning ahead of them.

No matter though... I've taken Jeffery's advice to "Go play somewhere else". I'm home.

I think that now we have moved to this site, I think that we should make this our new home. This site is one that has way more features and way less problems.

WTF, X is right. L-T is back up so you can retreive any theories that you had on there.

I won't be going back to L-T, I like a bit of structure with my internetz It was insane with the trolls ruling the place.
